Aakash Tablet

Aakash PC tablet is an low cost computing device, developed jointly by Datawind a british company and IIT  Rajasthan.

Background:
National Mission on Education through Information and Communication technology ( i.e NME  ICT) Under 11th five year plan which aims to tap the potential of ICT in improving the knowledge module and to reduce the Digital divide to an extent, and Ministry of HRD which realised Aakash  as one such Solution to the problem of Learning in India.
Under this programme there is a provision for providing 50 % subsidy to colleges and universities for Procuring computing devices like Aakash as per their requirement and then the colleges and Universities in turn can issue them to Financially weaker students.

Wall street journal termed this as the Worlds cheapest Tablet.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:
I am just Copy pasting the Below content from an Article in Hindu about Aakash Tablet:

Datawind, a Canadian company, won the tender to provide tablets at a cost of less than $35. Its first version failed miserably because of poor hardware. The newer version seemed more promising, but it looks like Datawind will default on its promise to deliver 1,00,000 units by March 31.
Even if the government somehow, however difficult it may seem, is able to get access to cheap tablets, they are not going to help achieve its aims. Can a laptop overcome the negative impact of a bad teacher or poor school? Can it make children smarter despite the lack of electricity, water, toilets or playgrounds? Can it overcome the limitations of stunted growth among the malnourished? Can Aakash increase productivity of the workforce to counterbalance the money invested in it?

For all Women aspirants....

deepika asked onMarch 9, 2013 at 4:41 PM
......... pl gives some good tips for the people who are married and haing baby . . .this is my first attempt
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AshviniSekar Writes:

For all those women who have this question and keep on asking how to manage time for studies, I have Family and Kid and so on .... :) :) :)

" Kitni shiddat se tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai.. Ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai..
Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko agar dil se chaho to saari kayanath tumhe usse milane ki koshish me lag jaati hai.. "  - Om Shanti Om

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
― Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist

Even the Blog Title Above has Quotation "Desire is the starting point of all achievement..."  All of the Above Explains Everything you asked for....

Its the desire in your heart that will help you plan for your studies... First of all How will it make any difference for us to study at home with family kids etc, If we are serious enough... Many have already done that then why cant we...
I know it is little Tough to read all the time , But Believe me Its not that Difficult also, You yourself will find new ways to manage your time well for Studies... All That needs is Willingness to Start...
I understand that Not everybody's Family will be that co operative or will motivate you for studies... But to fulfill our dreams we should not expect an outsider to motivate us...

Anyways the tips remain same as i already mentioned in General and applicable to all not just for women:

  • Firstly be Determined and firm in your Decision that No matter what happens I will Study till i achieve.
  • Be Proud of Yourself and tell yourself Constantly in your mind that " Achievement without any problem is just Success and Succeeding even with problems is creating History" ...
  • Make a note of all your daily work and see which is your free time and use it effectively in reading some basic books atleast, Just like some Ladies read Fashion books We might be reading NCERT's or General Knowledge books. :)
  • No matter What Happens in a day try to read at-least Newspaper and Make important points from that.
  • Avoid Parties and Functions If you feel that It will divert Your study mindset (i.e Put an end to Not so important Outings, It will be temporary, Once you have reached your goal, can resume all such things.) I know How it is difficult to avoid a Lot of invitations on various occasions , specially when you are no more a bachelor, But Try to Attend the Most important ones. I know that some will even Talk about us saying see she is not coming to this function that bla bla an all... Just Ignore the bugs...
  • Most importantly Be free in your thinking and thoughts and Explain to your Family members about, How its important that you need to Study an all... I suppose they will Understand... If not Don't worry Nothing changes except that You need to spend some extra hours on Study By:
Waking up early or sleep Late, Anything your willing to but Sacrifice your time for Studies... (Some Family members who may not encourage you in the beginning , may also Melt down after seeing your Hard-work slowly... Even they will all co operate with you provided You work Hard)

Even If i go on writing Pages together on this Subject it can only be Concluded that :
Determination and Efficient time planning alone are things you should be Working on constantly, about responsibilities on Ur shoulder , they always exist... some times we should enjoy the difficulties also...

Belated Happy Women's Day to all the Readers...

Note: Above is only from UPSC list of subjects, and the purpose of the post is to Just say that KPSC may also come up with similar changes. So as of now KAS aspirants can also concentrate on preparing for only one optional subject, and stress more on the General studies. So have an approximate plan with answers for all If's and But's now itself, Since Getting an opportunity write KAS itself is big as it might drag on for 2 years also..... Like am regretting for not appearing Previous KAS exam, almost 1.5 yrs of time wasted in just waiting for Notification itself...

I am Very Happy to see the Number of Page views on this Blog to cross more than One Lac 15 thousands as of today and am sure will grow further...

Though It is not so important to share my personal views in this platform...I will take some privileges being an author to use small space to share my thoughts...

When i initially started the blog Hardly 10 Page views a day... but now its grown to several hundreds...

Its a good thing that we all are Exchanging ideas on easy to access and common platform for Karnataka state civil service Aspirants. I am sad a Little also that , so much is unknown to me to answer to most of the user queries... But many Readers nowadays are coming out with Solutions to others Queries...

I am truly thankful to them all... Any Organisation whether small or big can be created, but not be maintained by a Single Person...

Its Existence the path which takes everything depends on the Creator and Most importantly Viewers Contributors...

Whenever i look at the pages of this blog i feel  that, Only little is to read here ... I could have done much better ... I will try to concentrate on improving in coming days... Its Genuineness is a responsibility on all our shoulders... Thanks Once again...
